Approach To Therapy
Danica believes in the power of storytelling, mindfulness, and authentic connection with our fellow humans as paths to personal fulfillment and wholeness of being. By incorporating humanistic, person-centered, and psychodynamic approaches, she invites her clients to examine their core beliefs and any old patterns that may no longer be serving them well. Understanding that trust is imperative to the therapeutic process, she strives to bring deep compassion and wisdom to the therapeutic relationship, providing her clients with the safe space needed to foster their own individualized exploration, healing, and growth. She is passionate about helping women of all ages find comfort and assurance in their own bodies and confidence and courage in their own thoughts and voices. She is particularly skilled in working with women struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, disordered eating, poor body image, relationship/career changes and challenges, and family of origin exploration.
She believes that everyone deserves to find their personal, unique muchness.
Outside The Therapy Room
When not working, Danica enjoys spending time outdoors – riding her horse, gardening, motorcycling, sailing, going to new places and seeing new things. She is an avid cooker, eater, and reader, and maintains a never-ending list of home projects and travel plans. She and her partner are also responsible to two cats and three chickens and when not active, she is learning to embrace the restorative properties of quality sleep.
