Signing up literally takes a few minutes.
Questions About Online Therapy? Contact Us
Some questions we hear about Online Therapy over and over are:
Is it safe?
YES! We have taken great care to make sure we are using an encrypted HIPAA compliant platform and we also require that our therapist clicks to admit you into her special Meeting Room which prevents anyone else from coming into our session.
What do I do about privacy?
Most of our clients are able to conduct sessions at home but we recognize that isn’t always possible, so we have found that some go outside and walk, go in their cars and even lay in their hammocks in the back yard (our personal favorite!). Additionally, we recommend if you are inside, to place your phone or device by the closed door with a white noise app running (Sleepy Fan is free one that we use) which helps greatly with insulating sound.
What do I need to have an online session?
Just a strong internet signal is needed and the Zoom app which you can download for free on your phone or tablet. We’ve heard of some clients with unlimited data who just use their phones for their session which is perfectly fine too.
Can I talk to my therapist before I schedule?
Yes! We are now offering free 15-minute consultations with the therapist of your choice to make sure y’all are a good fit. Just email us or call us to set that up!
What if I have questions?
You can always ask your therapist during your session or email them directly. You can also ask our Administrative Goddess any questions you have during the week by filling out our contact form or calling her at 301-690-0779, ext. 700.
We hope this helps. We’re looking forward to being part of your tribe and getting you where you want to be!

Lonely Remote Workers: How to Reconnect & Flourish
Remote work promised freedom, flexibility, and a better work-life balance. For many, it has delivered exactly that. But working from home also brings an unexpected challenge: loneliness.
Without the casual hallway conversations and shared lunches that naturally fill an office day, isolation can creep in quietly. Over time, that disconnection takes a real toll on your mental health and emotional well-being.
The good news is that isolation is not inevitable. With some intentional effort, remote workers can build meaningful connections into their daily lives, even from a home office.
Why does remote work isolation hit hard?
Human beings are wired for connection. When that connection disappears from your daily routine, the effects are significant. Research consistently links chronic loneliness to increased anxiety, depression, and burnout.
Remote workers often lose the social rhythms that once came automatically with office life. There is no coworker stopping by your desk. There is no spontaneous team brainstorming in a conference room. Without those moments, days can blur together, feeling isolating and flat.
The problem is not just about missing people. It is about losing a sense of belonging. That sense of being part of something larger than yourself is essential to emotional health.
