Andrea was born in Houston, Texas but raised in the suburbs of Buffalo, New York. This basically means she knows about good BBQ and good pizza! Andrea received her Bachelor’s in Social Work at the State University of New York at Fredonia and her Master’s in Social Work at the State University of New York at Buffalo. She currently resides in Augusta, Georgia where her husband is stationed as active duty military. She has been a Social Worker for about eight years in various areas of expertise including child welfare, homelessness, Veterans and mental health.
During her time working in the child welfare field, Andrea developed a passion to help and advocate for children and teens. This was her main focus in obtaining a Social Work degree after her personal experience in foster care and adoption. Andrea believes that we each have the power we need to reach our goals. She focuses on empowerment and validation to raise others in their own self-determination. She enjoys identifying and utilizing people’s strengths to help them realize the tools they have in their toolbox to pave the path they wish to take. She values meeting everyone where they are with respect and understanding.
Aside from work, Andrea enjoys time with friends and family, including her husband, cat and dog. Her dog is a therapy animal so it’s a family business! She is an avid runner, having completed six half marathons. She also enjoys a good shopping spree, listening to true crime podcasts and traveling. She has had many adventures including England, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, France, Italy, and Mexico.
Andrea is excited to work with girls and teen girls from age 8 years old to 18. You can reach her email at firstname.lastname@example.org or call her directly at 404-487-6682, ext. 703.
