Cynthia was born in Maryland, but raised in California. After high school, Cynthia returned back to Maryland where she attended Salisbury University. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Social Work with a minor in Psychology in 2017 and obtained her graduate degree in Social Work in 2018. After her time on the Eastern Shore in Salisbury, she returned back to Prince George’s County to pursue her social work career.
Cynthia has experience working as a behavioral interventionist with girls and teen girls in D.C focusing on anxiety, bullying, depression, low self-esteem, and trauma. She has case management experience working with youth and adults in assessing their needs and connecting them to their needed services and resources. Cynthia uses a person centered, strengths based, and solution focused approach with her clients. She is passionate about working with girls, teen girls, and young adult women and ensuring she advocates for her clients. She believes in finding and learning the bigger picture of her clients and encouraging a balance in her clients’ life.
In her spare time, she loves to spend time with her family and friends and travel around the country. She has a love for flowers and spends time creating different flower arrangements as her personal hobby. She is also an avid reader and loves to read sci fi, mystery, and thriller and suspense books. When she is outdoors, she loves to go on walks, go biking and roller skating: when indoors she loves to cook and watch movies and shows with a nice cold Frappuccino in the summer and nice hot cappuccino in the winter.
